This is a painful injury for the Vikings to have to deal with. Pace has been a pivotal part of the Vikings' defense this season, especially with his ability to penetrate the offensive line as a blitzer and run defender. Losing him will hurt, but the Vikings do have Kamu Grugier-Hill, who has played admirably in Paces and Blake Cashman's absence this season.

Murphy was set to come off of injured reserve this week so that move makes sense. The real intrigue here is the signing of Davis. A first round pick by the Washington Commanders in 2021, Davis was a fast riser due to his excellent athletic profile. He didn't stick around into year four, as the new regime decided to part ways this August.

Could they be looking to strike gold with his athletic profile and Flores' development track record? That remains to be seen but it's certainly an intriguing add by the Vikings.
