The Miami Dolphins are still breathing in the NFL playoff picture at 5-6 following a 34-15 win over the New England Patriots on Sunday at Hard Rock Stadium.  The win marked the third straight for the Dolphins, who've seemed to have found their stride, particularly on the offensive side of the ball.

As a result, they go into their Thanksgiving night game against the Green Bay Packers with plenty of momentum.  However, they still have a good bit of ground to make up to find themselves in the playoff field.

The Dolphins currently still sit one game back in the loss column from the Denver Broncos for the final wild card spot in the AFC.  The NFL.com playoff picture engine gives Miami a 22% chance of making the playoffs, but those odds would increase to 35% if they win on Thursday at the Packers.

However, the good news is they're now the 8th team in the conference after Indianapolis lost to Detroit 24-6 last week and fell to 5-7.  That's particularly important because the Colts hold the head-to-head tiebreaker there by virtue of a 16-10 win over the Dolphins back in Week 7.

The Chargers might have opened themselves up a bit to being caught after losing 30-23 to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday night.  The Chargers have a challenging stretch coming up, with games at the Falcons, at the Chiefs, and then at home against the Buccaneers and Broncos coming up over the next four weeks.

The Broncos host the mercurial Browns on Sunday, who have knocked off the Steelers and Ravens but have also lost to the Raiders and been blown out by the Saints and Cowboys.  You never know what you'll get from Cleveland from week to week.

But first things first, the Dolphins have to handle their business at a frigid Lambeau Field on Thursday night.  If they don't, then postseason hopes become very dicey.
