There is no such thing as a stress-free Kansas City Chiefs game.
Somehow, the Chiefs always manage to come out on top, and that's exactly what happened on Friday during the team's Black Friday matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders.
But, this win came with something extra.
Despite only being in Week 13, the Chiefs have officially clinched a spot in the playoffs.
What needed to happen was Kansas City beating or tying the Raiders, and as we just saw, they did exactly that.
After that, they needed the Miami Dolphins to lose on Thanksgiving, and that also occurred. Had the Dolphins not lost, the Chiefs would have needed either Denver to lose, the Chargers to lose and the Broncos to tie, or a Chiefs tie and Miami loses.
The Chiefs are the first team in the NFL to clinch a spot. With this, they tied the earliest any team has clinched since the 1970 merger.
And it's their tenth consecutive playoff berth.
But it was one play that resulted in Kansas City's win that will have everybody talking for a long time.
An impressive performance by Raiders quarterback Aidan O'Connell in the final moments of the game put Las Vegas in the position for a game-winning field goal.
However, center Jackson Powers-Johnson snapped the ball before O'Connell was prepared, resulting in a fumble. And the Chiefs jumped on the ball.
There was a flag on the play, but the officials declared the it was an illegal shift on offense. Mahomes took a knee afterwards, and that was the game.
This win also put the Chiefs further in the record book with a certain streak that they probably don't want. This was the 14th consecutive one-score game Kansas City won, which is the longest every streak in NFL history.
But hey, they are finding a way to win.
In his postgame press conference, Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce said it best: "Those are the world champs."
Regardless of what happens during the game, there is a reason that Kansas City has a 11-1 record. And now they are one step closer to the three-peat.
