NFL Hall of Famer and former Tennessee Vols quarterback Peyton Manning is a busy guy these days.
Between family obligations, the ManningCast, and a smorgasbord of commercials, it seems like the Sheriff always has a full plate.
Despite the busy schedule, Manning still makes it a point to return to Rocky Top as often as possible according to Tennessee head coach Josh Heupel.
Heupel joined The Rich Eisen Show earlier this week and he was asked about Manning's involvement with the Volunteers.
"Peyton has direct access to anything that he wants on Rocky Top as you would probably imagine," said Heupel with a laugh. "But Peyton and Nico (Iamaleava) have a really good relationship. Peyton's back here all the time. He brings his family to games back here. He's here during the spring. What people don't know about Peyton is how much he gives back to this community, to this campus. So he's back here quite a bit during the course of the year."
Peyton has been a great ambassador for Tennessee since leaving Knoxville for the NFL nearly three decades ago. Even when Manning was playing in the NFL, he would still make time to return to Tennessee for games from time to time. Now that he's retired, Peyton is often spotted at Vols football games as he cheers on his alma mater.
And yes, I'm sure Peyton is dishing out some advice to the quarterbacks on Rocky Top every chance he gets.
