The Chicago Bears are coming out of the bye week and will seemingly be a healthier team going forward, for the most part.

The team still has some lingering injuries going into the Week 8 matchup against the Washington Commanders, but a few depth pieces will soon be returning from the injured reserve in the coming days.

Two weeks ago, the Bears started the 21-day practice window for pass rusher Jacob Martin. On Wednesday, the team did the same thing for offensive tackle Larry Borom and running back Travis Homer.

Martin and Borom were each placed on the injured reserve before the regular season began. Homer played the first two games of the season before injuring his finger.

The team is also hoping to get offensive lineman Ryan Bates back from the injured reserve in the coming weeks, which would be a big boost to the offensive line. Bates rotated in at right guard during the regular season opener before being placed on the IR with shoulder and elbow injuries.

The return of Martin, Borom, Homer, and Bates will be a big boost to the rest of roster but it will also create some issues in terms of roster management, which could be something to monitor with the NFL trade deadline creeping up.

The Bears have been rumored to be sellers this time around and multiple names have been floated around that could be making their way out of Chicago by the November 5th deadline.

Over the last few days, multiple outlets have specifically mentioned guard Nate Davis, running back Khalil Herbert, and defensive end Dominique Robinson as potential players the Bears could look to trade way in the coming days. Coincidentally enough, all three of those positions will have a player re-joining the active roster from the injured reserve soon.

Right now, the Bears have no open spots on the active roster and will need to make some moves to open up spots for Martin, Borom, Homer, and Bates. If the team feels that these players are better options than the ones listed ahead of them, don't be surprised if the front office looks to move some players to open up the roster while adding some future picks in the process.
