With the 2024 General Election race looking like another nail-biter, former President Donald Trump hopes a last-minute visit to Pennsylvania will help convince swing state voters to opt for his name on the ballot. With most expert polls projecting the state to be decided by a few thousand individuals, Trump is reportedly planning to attend the Ohio State vs. Penn State game on Nov. 2 in State College.
This could be Trump's final move before the General Election takes place on Nov. 5, about 72 hours after this matchup of two top-five teams. Ohio State simply needs to beat Nebraska, and Penn State must survive a night game in Camp Randall on Saturday.
Donald Trump to Visit Ohio State vs. Penn State
Since entering the political world, Trump has been no stranger to visiting sporting events. He was in attendance for the 2018 College Football national championship game between Georgia and Alabama. He also visited Alabama for their home showdown against Joe Burrow's LSU Tigers.
Earlier this year, he saw Alabama's incredible comeback against Georgia. If Trump's luck in seeing tremendous games continues, then the Buckeyes and Nittany Lions will produce an entertaining game that comes down to the wire. All fans can agree we love exciting college football matchups, regardless of political feelings.
Whether or not this appearance impacts the voting polls remains to be seen. Right now, Pennsylvania is in a position to swing the race in favor of either Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris. While almost every swing state is within the projection's margin of error, the next President of the United States will likely win Pennsylvania and Arizona.
Will this swing any voters who will be watching this game? Let me know!
