Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts and running back Saquon Barkley had the opportunity of a lifetime earlier this week.
The star duo was invited out on the golf course with former President Barack Obama on Tuesday.
Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie also joined them.
While Hurts couldn't play because of the contract he has with the Eagles, Barkley played against Obama and was able to talk some trash.
Obama fired back too.
“To see him out there enjoying himself and talking a little trash, that was cool,” Hurts said.
Hurts went on to describe Obama as an "all-time" leader and "down to earth" while also saying he gave off an "uncle" presence on the links.
Obama had previously been on the list of six people that Hurts would like to have dinner with but golfing for four hours was certainly more intimate.
Hurts wouldn't go into great detail about what they talked about but said it was a "blessing."
Since Hurts couldn't swing the club on Tuesday, he made it clear that it won't be the last time he golfs with the 44th President.
“I told him he didn’t want these problems yet,” Hurts said. “By contract I can’t golf. His day will come.”
Barkley added that he and Hurts weren't the only ones with questions on the course as Obama was just as curious about them as they were him.
"He asked me a lot of great questions," Barkley said. "It was cool. He definitely did his research. Asked me questions about my family. The coolest thing I took away from my experience with him was how he treats people, from the caddie to anybody that came up to him, he looked them in the eye.
"He made sure he had conversations with them, asked them what their name was. When you’re at that level, and you still take the time to do that, it was genuine, too. You could tell it was genuine. It inspired me."
Hopefully, whatever advice Obama shared with the Eagles stars carries over to the football field and helps them build upon their three-game win streak this Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
