The LSU Tigers' offense has already caught fire in recent weeks, scoring at least 29 points in every game since their Week 1 loss to USC. Now they get some good news that could make their offense even better heading into their huge SEC matchup against Texas A&M.

Fourth year wide receiver Chris Hilton Jr. was trending towards a significant role and a potential breakout year prior to the start of the season, but has been dealing with nagging injuries. This week Brian Kelly and company finally gave him the "probable" injury designation meaning it's highly likely that Hilton sees the field for the first time this season on Saturday against Texas A&M.

Hilton Jr. was finally a full participant at practice on Thursday, signifying that he is almost assuredly ready to hop into a meaningful role this weekend.

LSU's passing attack has flowed through a variety of playmakers already in tight end Mason Taylor, plus Kyren Lacy, Aaron Anderson, and CJ Daniels at wide receiver. Getting a fourth wide receiver plugged in who can stretch the field vertically from any pre-snap position should mean great things for Garrett Nussmeier and the Tigers.

Fans should expect to see Hilton's role eat into some of CJ Daniels snaps this week. Anderson should still remain in the slot. Lacy should continue in his versatile role at lead receiver. Daniels has performed well at times this season, but still has zero receiving touchdowns and has consistently operated as the team's fourth target. Hilton should give Nussmeier a burner with a different body type than Daniels, potentially throwing a few new wrinkles into the offense at just the right time.

A&M's defense is Top 40 in yards per play and rather effective against the pass. Having a trump card that the Aggies won't have a ton of film on could certainly come in handy. Hopefully Hilton Jr. and LSU's entire wide receiver group stay healthy moving forward so Nussmeier can have his full arsenal of weapons at his disposal.
