Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis sent a very emotional email to ESPN this week
The Las Vegas Raiders may be 2-5 right now, and a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday could put them at 2-6, but they are not doing what every team wants them to do. There are a few teams in particular that want them to do it, like, let's say, the Detroit Lions. […]
The Las Vegas Raiders may be 2-5 right now, and a loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday could put them at 2-6, but they are not doing what every team wants them to do. There are a few teams in particular that want them to do it, like, let's say, the Detroit Lions.
It's not going to happen.
Since the Davante Adams trade which saw him be sent to the New York Jets, teams and fan bases seem to think the Raiders are going to blow the whole thing up, and trade every player away. That's simply not happening. I could have told you that, but in case you didn't believe me, Mark Davis will say it for you, in an email fashion.
"We're Not Trading Maxx Crosby," Raiders owner Mark Davis said in an email to ESPN. "Before Or After The Trade Deadline!!!"
One of the teams that have been connected in being interested in Crosby is the Lions, mainly because of his Michigan ties, as he went to Eastern Michigan in college, and because the Lions need some help on the defensive line.
They needed help there before the Aidan Hutchinson injury. Now they need even more help, as he is out for the season likely, and they are a Super Bowl-contending team.
But Crosby doesn't want to go anywhere.
"I'm sitting here innocently and just doing what I do, and I feel like I got to like to address it with my teammates," he said on "The Rush With Maxx Crosby" podcast. "I'm like, 'I'm not trying to leave.' I don't have 100 percent control and all that, but I want to be here. I want to be silver and black. I'll say it loud and f—ing clear: I want to be a Raider. I've said that over and over and over again."
Maxx Crosby is a Raider and will be for his entire career, that is until he is finally fed up. The Raiders will play the Cincinnati Bengals after the Chiefs, and then the Miami Dolphins with a healthy QB back. This tough stretch could see them sitting at 2-8 before they play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
