The Las Vegas Raiders are finally done with the dramatic Davante Adams situation, as he has been traded to the New York Jets in a trade that fans may not love. Nonetheless, it's done, and the Raiders now have themselves a new third-round pick, and his contract off of the books.

We have talked about some ways that make this a win for the Raiders, and, those still stand. But, in those, I wrote that the Raiders sending Adams to the Jets, another bad team that doesn't have a great offense is a win. Fans want him to be bad at his next stop because he wanted out. That's the human nature feeling in football fandom.

But, I'd like to retract a bit now that some new information is out. That's not necessarily a win, even if the Jets do end up losing every single game and Adams is terrible. In fact, the Raiders and their fan base need to pretty much root for Adams in New York.

Davante Adams' trade details updated

Shortly after the trade, ESPN's Adam Schefter updated the return the Las Vegas is getting. He revealed that the Raiders are getting a conditional third-round pick, that has the chance to be a second-rounder. But, how is that so? What has to happen? Well, to turn a third into a second, the Raiders will still have to rely on Adams.

Schefter tweeted that Adams will either need to be on an AFC Championship game roster or Super Bowl roster or be on one of the All-Pro teams. So, the Raiders have to hope this works out, for this year, anyways.

They will have to hope that the old Green Bay Packers duo will work out in New York, just for this year. Now that Adams is gone, the Raiders and their players can get back to the full focus being on the ball. They play the Los Angeles Rams this week and will play the Kansas City Chiefs next.
