The Houston Texans (5-1) had it pretty easy against the New England Patriots (1-5) in Week 6, specifically wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

The veteran wideout had arguably his best game as a Texan, catching six passes for 77-yards and a touchdown. It was the team's first full game without star wide receiver Nico Collins, so it was good to see the four-time Pro Bowler step up and help out CJ Stroud and the rest of the offense.

At the same time, however, there's one development Diggs surely won't like, even with his personal accomplishments and the Texans' fifth win on the year: The NFL fined him $11,255 for taunting the Patriots in the third quarter. Fellow teammate, Mario Edwards, was docked $9,245 for unnecessary roughness in the third quarter.

The fine stems from Diggs' touchdown celebration after he caught a 10-yard TD over Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez that put the Texans up, 21-7 after Ka'imi Fairbairn's PAT. He was hit with a 15-yard penalty after the play. Edwards wasn't flagged for the facemask he committed, but the NFL still hit him where it hurts most, which is his wallet.

It's still unclear what the referees saw/heard regarding Diggs, but the NFL backed them up with its decision.

Diggs has a team-leading 37 receptions for 392-yards (10.6 yards per reception) and three touchdowns on 48 targets so far, this year, with a long of 28. His yards per reception is the lowest been since 2018, but his 77.1% catch rate will be a career-best if it holds through the rest of the season. His three touchdowns are tied with Collins for No. 1 on the team.
