The Minnesota Vikings are now firmly at the top of the NFC standings at 5-0 after a 23-17 win over the New York Jets in London. Things weren't great for the Vikings on Sunday, but they found a way to win the game, which is what great teams do.

The offense showed signs of struggles on Sunday with the team nearly blowing a 17-0 first-half lead to Aaron Rodgers, but the defense securing three interceptions was a major factor in getting the win. The offense struggled to move the football and had to rely on kicker Will Reichard making three field goals and the defense making stops. It wasn't lost on star wide receiver Justin Jefferson.

Justin Jefferson praises Vikings' defense

After the game on Sunday, Jefferson spoke with NFL Network's Stacy Dales and was very open about the performance of the offense.

"I feel like we didn't play well on the offensive side of the ball. You know, we didn't have any energy. I mean, we had energy in ourselves, but we didn't make the place to, you know, contribute the energy. So, I mean, it's definitely a tough win. We definitely got to give thanks to our defense today for giving us this dub. But offensively, it wasn't good enough."

Those are the things you want to hear from your star player. Honesty is great from Jefferson and he's 100% right. The offense wasn't in sync for most of the game. Darnold only completed 45.1% of his passes with multiple of them being mishandled or dropped by Jefferson.

Some of that was due to the weather. It was misting or raining nearly the entire game and that caused some issues with the footing and the slickness of the ball. Luckily, those issues didn't end up mattering as the Vikings found a way to win thanks to the defense.

They will have a bye week to rest up and work on their issues before taking on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, October 20th.
