Arkansas is going to have to pay for what they did to the Tennessee Volunteers on Saturday

No one had the Arkansas Razorbacks beating the No. 4 ranked Tennessee Volunteers in Week 6. But, no one also had seven ranked upsets happening this week, but here we are. The Razorbacks did it with their defense, which resulted in the offense doing just enough to win the game, behind the likes of backup quarterback Malachi Singleton, who led the game-winning drive.

The Razorbacks beat their first top-five-ranked team at home since Tennessee in 1999, and, that called for a storming of the field, which they also did when they beat the Texas Longhorns a few years ago.

When you are a program like the Razorbacks, one that is primarily known for their basketball and baseball programs' success as of late, you have these big-time football wins every now and then. They don't happen often. So, you let the fans storm the field and take down the goalpost, and whatever else they do that is of course, legal and ethical.

The Hogs did that, and man did their fans go crazy. Much like how the Vanderbilt fans took the goalpost down to the Cumberland River in Nashville after their win over the Alabama Crimson Tide, the Razorback fans took theirs to Dickson Street and partied all night long.

But, that comes with a price to pay.

According to several close to the school, Arkansas was fined $250 thousand for allowing fans to storm the field, by the SEC. This happened the last time they stormed the field when they beat Texas, but this fine is much bigger.

"Hell yeah," Arkansas Athletic Director Hunter Yurachek said when asked if he'd happily pay the fine.

The only issue with this that other big-time schools don't have, is the hogs don't have that kind of money. If they did, well, Yurachek wouldn't be begging the fans on social media to donate $500 thousand, two separate times.

And, maybe they do have the money. They just want someone else to pay for it.

Arkansas fan gets destroyed by Tennessee Vols fans on Twitter

Arkansas Razorbacks baseball fans aren't very fond of the Tennessee Vols these days. That's because the Vols are not only the best team in the nation, but they also play with an edge that other fans find "offensive". Tennessee baseball beats teams, has fun while doing it, and angers opponents with their swagger and brash […]
