Las Vegas Raiders head coach Antonio Pierce has an unfortunate answer regarding latest chapter in QB controversy
The Las Vegas Raiders still have an issue, a clear one. They have two quarterbacks, and neither are good. I have said it a million times already, and one more won't hurt — when you have two quarterbacks in a QB battle, you have no quarterbacks. The Raiders have now benched their Week 1 starter […]
The Las Vegas Raiders still have an issue, a clear one. They have two quarterbacks, and neither are good. I have said it a million times already, and one more won't hurt — when you have two quarterbacks in a QB battle, you have no quarterbacks. The Raiders have now benched their Week 1 starter Gardner Minshew, twice for Aidan O'Connell.
Against the Denver Broncos, Gardner Minshew started great. He had a big tie touchdown to Brock Bowers and started the game 11/11. But, after an interception and pick-six to Patrick Surtain, Minshew's confidence was bad. Then, he threw another interception, and his confidence got worse when Antonio Pierce pulled him.
They put Aidan O'Connell in, and nothing really changed. They did this against the Carolina Panthers as well.
So, now the question stands, the same one we asked after the Panthers' loss and before the Cleveland Browns game, who is the starting quarterback in this latest chapter of the QB controversy? Who will start against the Pittsburgh Steelers next?
"I don't know," Antonio Pierce said after the win when asked if there will be a QB change.
That's an unfortunate answer that fans maybe don't want to hear. Then again, it's coach talk, that's all it ever is. The Raiders need to get this solved, or this season is just going to be another one wasted away.
Las Vegas Raiders take another massive hit during matchup vs. Broncos that may have gone unnoticed
The Raiders can’t afford that.
