The Tennessee Titans will be headed to Buffalo to face a scary Bills team in Week 7, but they won’t have to contend with their future Hall of Fame pass rusher.

The NFL announced on Tuesday that Von Miller will be suspended four games for violating the league’s Personal Conduct Policy.

The NFL didn’t specify what incident this suspension is a result of. Miller was accused of felony domestic assault last November, but the alleged victim never pressed charges and eventually recanted.

This means the Titans won’t have to deal with Miller on October 20th when they travel to Buffalo. Miller has been a 3rd down pass rushing specialist for the Bills this season in your typical savvy veteran role.

Miller played 93 snaps in the Bills first four games, tallying 3 sacks and 13 total pressures. This season has been the healthiest stretch of his time in Buffalo since signing his 6yr/$120M megadeal in 2022.

Given the Titans pass protection struggles this year, this is a significant break in their favor. In fact, it’s just the latest fortuitous opponent injury to come their way.

In Week 3, Tennessee ducked Jordan Love and instead played former Titan Malik Willis when they hosted the Packers. What should have been a lucky break ended up, let’s say, not exactly mattering in the end.

In Week 4 the Titans faced a Dolphins team led by backup QB Snoop Huntley just 12 days into his tenure with Miami, a move made in the wake of losing Tua Tagovailoa to a concussion.

In Week 6, the Titans don’t have to deal with star Colts DL DeForest Buckner, who is on IR with a sprained ankle.

Tennessee must take these lucky breaks and make the most of them, as they continue to try to dig themselves out of a 1-3 hole after their Week 5 bye.
