The Minnesota Vikings found a way to win over the Jacksonville Jaguars by a score of 12-7, but it nearly cost them their running back.

When Aaron Jones went down with an injury, the Vikings and their fanbase held their collective breath. Jones has been a major factor in the Vikings' success both in the running game and the passing game. Even when he's not actually involved in the play, his presence makes a major impact.

Aaron Jones explains why he was taken off on a cart

When he came off the field, the television broadcast said that he was dealing with a rib injury and they showed Jones holding his side and later him leaving the field on a cart.

Normally when you see a cart take a player off the field, it raises major red flags, but that wasn't the case for Jones. He returned before the end of the game and appeared on Up and Adams with Kay Adams to discuss just that.

"The only reason I got carted off was because the x-ray machine was on the whole other side of the stadium. So, like, gotta get in the cart."

That's a really important aspect. When it's all the way on the other side of the stadium, having the cart is an important aspect to getting checked out. You don't want to potentially waste time with Jones, especially if he is fine and can return to the game like he ended up doing. It also explains why Jones was so casual in how he looked on the back of the cart.

It was great for Jones to clear the air right away on Monday morning and it will ease Vikings' fans minds going into next Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
