The Las Vegas Raiders are on a bye this week, but there is plenty of work to be done, or not to be done — however, they want to go about it. You see, the Raiders are 2-7, and their chance of a playoff birth are pretty much gone. So, there really is no reason to continue to try improving because then you will start to win games.

And when you win games, you move out of the better draft position. So really, the Raiders should be actively trying to lose games. And, based on the comments by head coach Antonio Pierce, the Raiders may be trying to lose games as they might sit out of practice all bye week, even after having a new offensive mind on the coaching staff in Norv Turner join the team.

B, there is one thing they will be doing during the bye week — bringing back two players that they previously cut.

According to the Raiders PR team, the team is bringing back tight end John Samuel Shenker and wide receiver Tyreik McAllister. However, they are joining the practice squad. They were cut a few weeks ago, and I made it known that they will both be back.

McAllister had a great game against the San Francisco 49ers in the preseason and now will be looking to try and make his way back onto the field for a team that desperately needs something, anything on offense.

The Raiders just lost to the Cincinnati Bengals before the bye week, and are set to play the Miami Dolphins, Denver Broncos, and Kansas City Chiefs next.
