Unlikely Titans receiver joined very exclusive club in NFL history in Week 11 vs Vikings

While the Tennessee Titans didn't manage a victory in Week 11, they did make a bit of history.
Midway through the 3rd quarter, the Minnesota Vikings pinned the Titans on their own 2 yard line with a fantastic punt. On first down, a Tony Pollard run was nearly stopped for a safety, squeaking out of the endzone to the 1-yard line. A Will Levis QB sneak was required on 2nd down to get back out to the 2 for some breathing room.
Then the Titans dropped back on 3rd and 10 from their own 2-yard line to dangerously try to get a pass off. Not exactly an ideal situation. But Levis found WR Nick Westbrook-Ikhine up the right sideline with a perfect ball, and NWI was gone. With no safety help over the top, he trotted the length of the field with ease for the shocking 98 yard touchdown.
Westbrook-Ikhine hit 21 mph on the play, the longest Levis completion since his 61yd touchdown pass to DeAndre Hopkins in 2023. Not only was it (obviously) the longest play of both Levis and Westbrook-Ikhine's careers, but it's a play that will go down in the history books.
It's tied for the longest receiving touchdown in Titans/Oilers franchise history, going all the way back to Jacky Lee's 98-yard touchdown pass to Willard Dewveall against the Chargers in 1962.
Perhaps more impressively, it's the 18th time in the Super Bowl Era anybody has scored a 98+ yard touchdown reception. Here's the list NWI and Will Levis are joining:
98+ yard TD Pass Club
1966- Earl Morrall to Homer Jones (98yd TD)
1993- Bobby Hebert to Michael Haynes (98yd TD)
1998- Charlie Batch to Johnnie Morton (98yd TD)
2009- Ryan Fitzpatrick to Terrell Owens (98yd TD)
2016- Drew Brees to Brandin Cooks (98yd TD)
2022- Josh Allen to Gabe Davis (98yd TD)
2024- Will Levis to Nick Westbrook-Ikhine (98yd TD)
1966- Karl Sweetan to Pat Studstill (99yd TD)
1968- Sonny Jurgensen to Jerry Allen (99yd TD)
1983- Jim Plunkett to Cliff Branch (99yd TD)
1985- Ron Jaworski to Mike Quick (99yd TD)
1994- Stan Humphries to Tony Martin (99yd TD)
1995- Brett Favre to Robert Brooks (99yd TD)
2002- Trent Green to Marc Boerigter (99yd TD)
2004- Jeff Garcia to Andre Davis (99yd TD)
2008- Gus Frerotte to Bernard Berrian (99yd TD)
2011- Tom Brady to Wes Welker (99yd TD)
2011- Eli Manning to Victor Cruz (99yd TD)
It's just the 8th time since the turn of the century anybody has connected for a touchdown that long. It was a play that injected life into the Titans sideline, some badly-needed 2nd half momentum for a team known for finishing poorly in games this year.
This was an extreme example, but it's the kind of big plays they need to continue to generate late in games if they want to start finally winning them.
