After a major move by any NFL organization, current and former players react. Nowadays, those comments often come on social media. Former New Orleans Saints wide receiver A.T. Perry sent a clear message directed towards Dennis Allen and the team after his firing on Monday morning.
This is not the first time that the former sixth-round pick by New Orleans got a bit chippy towards the Saints or a coach from the org. He made his thoughts clear on New Orleans' decision to let him go earlier this year.
Perry took subtle shot after release
“It was kind of confusing for me, Just wanting to play in that offense — (Derek Carr) was throwing the ball around and I wanted to be part of that. Unfortunately, I wasn’t. I was on the active roster but inactive (on game days) each week. They said it was my hand."
"It was kind of a shock that I was released just for them to bring another o-lineman in.”

Now, he has doubled down on his frustration from earlier in the season with the news of Allen's firing. He "bonded" with former Saints WR Michael Thomas in a way over the decision on Twitter/X.
Perry follows Michael Thomas' disdain
Both former pass catchers tweeted the same phrase. Thomas did it on Sunday afternoon, and Perry followed him up with it on Monday morning. Check out their posts below.
Thomas' phrasing there came before the news broke, but he made sure to provide a reaction on Monday morning as well. Just moments after the news broke, he was on social media to celebrate it, in a manner.
His comment on Monday morning followed a social media rant from Thomas lasted hours on Sunday. He let it all flow, and Carr fired back after the Saints' loss to the Carolina Panthers.
There is no doubt that Thomas and Perry were not fans of what Allen was cooking in New Orleans.
Neither player seemed to appreciate how they were treated or taken care of during the final stage of their time with the team.
