The Detroit Lions are going through a ton of injuries right now. Not only have they lost their stars and their starters, they've lost their next men up too. On Saturday the Lions poached two players off practice squads.

They got former Pro Bowl linebacker Kwon Alexander from the Broncos and defensive tackle Jonah Williams from the Rams. They may not be done just yet. Here's three guys that the Lions could poach away from other team's practice squads.

Boogie Basham

This is a guy the Lions have already taken an extended look at this summer when the Lions had joint practices and a preseason game with the Giants.

The former second round pick showed out for the Bills, but the Giants seemingly have no idea what to do with him. He looked good for them in preseason this summer. He had seven pressures and a sack in three games. He's even looked good when they've elevated him.

Honestly I think this is the best move the Lions could make when it comes to poaching. This guy could play immediately.

Takk McKinley

The former 26th overall pick has bounced around a lot, but he’s shown something every place he goes. While he has not quite lived up to that draft status, he’s shown that he can be a journeyman role player that can help out. That’s something that can help the Lions in the short term.

The interesting thing is that McKinley had been active for the Jets a lot this season, but now he's on the practice squad. He can absolutely be stolen.

Chase Lucas

It always felt like it was a bit hard for the Lions to let this guy go because I think they saw more in him. Especially from a special teams point of view, but on defense too. Lucas just always seemed like he was going to break out at any moment, but the moment just hasn’t come yet.

The 49ers have had him all season and haven't played him yet. The Lions could steal him away and bring him back to see if that moment happens. We don't know how long it will take to get Carlton Davis back, but even if they do, this guy feels like he's worth having back around.
