Dallas Cowboys star Micah Parsons announces that he would love to play with one Texas Longhorns star
Anthony Hill, a Butkus semifinalist, won’t be NFL Draft eligible until 2026
Dallas Cowboys linebacker Micah Parsons already likes playing with one Texas ex. He’ll gladly take another in linebacker Anthony Hill Jr., but it’ll have to be in 2026.
Parsons is looking for ways the Cowboys can get better, and the best way to do that is through the NFL Draft. Parsons clearly saw a mock draft that he didn’t like and responded that the Cowboys should add Hill.
The mock draft had Missouri receiver Luther Burden III going to Dallas in the first round.
“Give me Anthony hill from Texas with dmoo, Jayon walker or my favorite Abdul carter!,” Parsons posted on X. Hill couldn’t believe it, responded with a wide-eye emoji.

Hill is certainly having a terrific season with the Longhorns. The sophomore from Denton Ryan was named a Butkus Award semifinalist this week and leads the Horns with 66 tackles through nine games. He also has 5.5 sacks and sits ninth in the SEC with 0.61 sacks per game.
“Just trying to take the next little step,” Hill said prior to facing Georgia in mid-October. “The game is slowing down in certain ways, just being able to understand, read and reacting and play faster. Even though I feel like I played a great game, I feel like I left a lot on the table last week. So just little stuff I feel I can get better at throughout the weeks going forward.”
Hill won’t be draft eligible until 2026, though. He was a freshman All-American last season and the co-Big 12 defensive freshman of the year after making 67 tackles and five sacks.
The Cowboys already had good luck with DeMarvion Overshown, who missed his rookie season with an injury but is having a terrific sophomore campaign.
Paring Parsons, Overshown and Hill would be a fast combination for the Cowboys defense. Hill plays like Overshown did at Texas, to be sure. He even changed his jersey to No. 0 during the offseason to play like "Agent Zero" did while with the Longhorns.
For Hill’s part, he simply wanted to thank linebackers coach Johnny Nansen for working with him and “helping me develop along the way.”
