Ja'Marr Chase didn't believe it. Joe Burrow cussing to the media?

"He cursed? Y'all lying," Chase quipped when told about it

He needed video proof. He got it after his Thursday presser:

Burrow's connection with Chase has been nearly unstoppable on the field. Chase is on track to capture the third receiver triple crown of this century with Burrow leading the league in passing yards and touchdowns. They've completed thousands up thousands of passes between each other over the past six years. No other pair of teammates in the Cincinnati Bengals locker room have known each other longer than them.

It's a bit surprising that cursing isn't a mutual exchange within their conversations, but that's apparently the case according to Chase.

"I've been trying to get him to curse," Chase said. "He don't curse when I'm talking to him. That's a new one."

Emotions don't normally get worn on Burrow's sleeve. The composed leader of the Bengals is usually as even-keeled as they come outside of when he needs to show otherwise

All of it is written in truth. Burrow said to reporters Wednesday there are plenty of ways Chase and other receivers ask for the ball. Chase agrees.

"It's a lot of ways for real," Chase said. "I can tell him at practice. I can tell him one-on-one. I can tell him during the game like, 'Yo give me the ball.' Or I seen something like this, let's try it. Or maybe my aggression coming out and I'm just telling him, 'Give me the damn ball' or something.

"It's usually when I'm asking for the ball I'm in a mood."

The mood is urgent right now. The Bengals are 4-6 with playoff hopes drastically dependent on beating the Chargers this Sunday night.

If all goes to plan, Chase won't be needing to curse at Burrow to get the ball.
