The Minnesota Vikings have signed Minnesota legend running back Mohamed Ibrahim to a contract. They made the move ahead of the Vikings final preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles.

Ibrahim was a star at the University of Minnesota for 5 years. He burst onto the scene in 2018 as a freshman with 1,160 yards and nine touchdowns. He was a starter throughout his career, even after it took a turn for the worst.

In the 2021 season opener against the Ohio State Buckeyes, Ibrahim tore his Achilles tendon and missed the season. He came back as a sixth year senior and ran for 1,665 yards and 20 touchdowns.

Ibrahim went undrafted in 2023 and signed with the Detroit Lions. He made the practice squad but was placed on injured reserve on October 24th.

Ibrahim will likely get some playing time against the Eagles and will compete for a spot on the practice squad.
