Minnesota Vikings general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah doesn't stop trying to find talent to bring onto the roster, especially before the 53-man roster cuts happen next Tuesday.

On Thursday morning, the Vikings added Minnesota legend running back Mohamed Ibrahim to the 90-man roster. They will likely give him a lot of opportunity to play on Saturdayagainst the Philadelphia Eagles

The Vikings didn't stop there. They had to make room on the roster for Ibrahim and former Minnesota alumnus guard Chuck Filiaga and they did by waiving tight end Trey Knox with an injury designation and waiving cornerback Jacobi Francis without one.

Filiaga is going to provide depth for the Vikings on the offensive line for the preseason finale. It also sends a signal that Dalton Risner is likely not going to be available against the Eagles.

Knox wasn't likely to make the team. He struggled heavily in the first two preseason games and was even at risk of not making the practice squad. Francis was the same way, except he wasn't injured. The cornerback room had passed him by pretty quickly.

The Vikings also saw two of their players revert back to injured reserve after being waived with an injury designation on Wednesday in offensive lineman Jeremy Flax and special teams ace NaJee Thompson. They will be eligible to return to the Vikings next season.
