The long road of the quarterback controversy for the Las Vegas Raiders has not ended. But instead, is still going. Let's be honest, when Gardner Minshew was announced as the starter, I think most of us knew that would not be the last time we would be discussing a quarterback change or issue with this team.

Since Derek Carr's departure, the Raiders have not found out how to replace him with someone good enough to have a sustainable offense. They have started five quarterbacks since they let Carr walk and benched him. That was two years ago. So, we knew that they would struggle with the quarterback department of the roster for some time.

Since naming Minshew as the starter, nothing has really worked on offense. They have had just one good quarter of football in three weeks, and that was against the Baltimore Ravens. Against the Carolina Panthers and the Los Angeles Chargers, they were poor.

When they were losing to the Panthers, Pierce put in Aidan O'Connell.

"I think the game was out of hand and, you know, got two quarterbacks at the battle, let the other guy go in there and see what he can do for a little bit," Pierce said directly after the loss when asked if bringing O'Connell it was because of a legit quarterback change, or if it was just a spark.

On Monday, when he spoke to the media, he kind of went back on what he said. Like I said, kind of. He said after the game that he and the team would not be ruling out any quarterback change.

So, what's really going on?

If you ask me, the offense isn't struggling because of the quarterback issue. It's struggling because the offense just stinks in terms of the personnel they have and the scheme they want to run. Their offensive line is banged up and just not good.

Now, we will just have to wait and see who the starter will be against the Cleveland Browns.
