Micah Parsons stood up for Daniel Jones despite the quarterback's poor performance in the New York Giants Week 1 loss to the Minnesota Vikings.

Jones has received a lot of hate on social media since Sunday's game, and one account specifically pointed out a statistic that no Giants fan wants to see.

The user on X, formerly known as Twitter, pointed out that Jones' last passing touchdown was 359 days ago, which he got in Week 2 of the 2023 season.

However, there is one fact that many people are forgetting. And Parsons made sure to remind everyone.

"Yall act like this man ain't come bs k from an ACL INJURY 😂😂😂 bro get off that man nuts please!," Parsons wrote on X.

In Week 5, Jones sustained a neck injury and was forced to miss a few games. Then in Week 9, he tore his ACL in the first quarter and was ruled out for the season.

This was not what the team wanted after signing Jones to a four-year $160 million contract extension prior to the 2023 season.

But in terms of this one particular statistic that was pointed out, Parsons isn't having any of it.

Giants coach confirms what fans feared for Week 2 matchup against Commanders (per A to Z Sports' Adam Holt)

Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed that Daniel Jones will start in Week 2 for New York. They are not benching him.

This statement from Daboll supports his sentiment from his postgame presser after Sunday's loss. He said that the team did not consider benching him during the season opener.

Jones struggled mightily in Week 1 behind some surprisingly solid offensive line play. Their OL unit was ranked in the middle of the pack in the NFL. Of five sacks given up, only one was attributed to the OL, according to PFF.

Additionally, Jones' average time to throw was 2.82 seconds. That ranked 15th in the NFL in Week 1. He got enough time to perform better than he did.

The Giants wide receiver group generated separation, too. Jones simply could not find them consistently, though. Even with tons of zone coverage from the Vikings, Jones never found his footing.

We will see if Jones can hold onto the starting QB job in the long-term. Drew Lock remains the team's top backup option.
