Cleveland is 1-2 on the season after a loss to the New York Giants and is not off to the start that they pictured for the 2024 season.

Coming into the game against the Giants, it was known that defensive end Myles Garrett was dealing with foot issues, but now it may be even worse.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski revealed after the game that multiple players would need an MRI and that Garrett was one of them. The reigning Defensive Player of the Year tweaked his foot and was limited at times against New York. Garrett finished with just one tackle in the loss.

Additionally, right guard Wyatt Teller was ruled out of the game about halfway through with a knee injury. Both he and backup tackle James Hudson will receive MRIs on Monday.

The biggest loss would be the obvious one and that is Garrett. The defense’s top player and the overall top player on the team that the Browns can not even close to replacing. As Garrett goes, this defense in Cleveland goes.

Garrett has never had a serious injury in his NFL career and has toughed it out through some games he probably shouldn’t have played in. The All-Pro has not missed more than one game in a season since 2020 when he missed two. If the Browns are going to miss him for any time, it would be a bad loss and irreplaceable.

The injury bug was tough to Cleveland last season and has not been fair to Cleveland this year so far. Still, there is no time to dwell on it. Cleveland is 1-2 on the season and will have three straight games on the road now starting with the Las Vegas Raiders next week.

Monday will bring more answers on the injuries and Cleveland has to hope the Giants game does not become even worse.
