The Philadelphia Eagles are heading into New Jersey to play the New York Giants as they look to build on to their 11-1 record.

The Giants are usually a team that is somewhat a pushover, or an easy win, at least in the last few years that is. This year, they are almost the complete opposite of that.

The Giants have a better record this year than the last few. Not to mention they have beaten some pretty good teams in 2022 as well. I don't think anyone really expected New York to be where they are this year, but they have been good, to say the least.

This won't be like any other year where the Eagles could just write this one in as a win. The Eagles will have to work for this win.

But the same could be said about the Giants, who are facing a team that is 11-1 and is one of the most balanced teams in the league. The Giants know that though, and it starts with the Eagles' defense on Sunday, as they will have to stop one of the best running backs in the league.

"They’re 11-1 for a reason," Giants running back Saquon Barkley said. "All phases of the ball – especially on defense – every single level they’re talented with Pro Bowl-caliber players, to be honest. As a competitor, you look forward to that.

"You look forward to going against the best. We know we’re going to get their best and it’s going to be a great game against Philly. Home, in December. The stadium is going to be rocking so it’s going to be fun. It’s going to be a challenge and we’re looking forward to it."

For Barkley, who has been above amazing this year, to acknowledge that the Eagles are the best, and their defense is legit says something. The Giants' offense is pretty good, even if they only do one thing great, and everything else is pretty average.

They run the ball with ferocity, and we all know the Eagles have struggled on defense in that area this season.

If I had to guess, the Eagles run defense should copy and paste what they did last week against Derek Henry. King Henry doesn't get stopped often, but the Eagles were able to do just that last week holding him to 38 rushing yards on 11 carries.

If the Eagles want to extend their record to 12-1, they will have to contain Barkley. It won't work any other way, and the Giants won't stop running the ball until they have too.
