No one is better at playing mind games than Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
The veteran quarterback likes to be vague while throwing out some breadcrumbs in the form of open-ended statements, which often leads to rampant speculation about everything from Rodgers' career plans to his personal life.
So it shouldn't come as a total surprise that Rodgers is now using those mind games with his own team.
Here's the deal:
Rodgers was recently asked — yet again — about his future in Green Bay.
And the future Hall of Famer gave a candid response.

“Look, my decision, when it comes down to it, will be, obviously, the physical part, the mental part, seeing where the team is at," said Rodgers.
"There’s some moving pieces that’ll factor in, for sure. But seeing the development of those guys can’t help but be a part of the decision.”
I'm pretty sure I know what Rodgers is trying to do with these comments — albeit in a passive-aggressive way.
It feels like Rodgers is trying to force the Green Bay front office to address the Packers' wide receiver group before announcing whether or not he's returning in 2023.
We've already seen Rodgers' frustration at times this season with Green Bay's young wide receivers. I feel like the comment about wide receiver development is a sly way of Rodgers telling the front office to sign a player like Odell Beckham Jr to a multiyear deal or else he won't be playing quarterback for the Packers next season.
I get it. And I don't blame Rodgers — there's no point in returning if the offense isn't going to be at full strength. But perhaps stepping into the Packers' front office and having that conversation directly would be more fruitful.
But then again, Rodgers has made it this far playing his mind games, I don't suppose there's any reason to switch things up now.
