A key Green Bay Packers star was the main subject of an incredibly silly narrative on Sunday.
During the Packers' loss against the New York Giants in London, ESPN's Rob Demovsky suggested that Green Bay offensive lineman David Bakhtiari was pouting when he wasn't in the game.
Demovsky continued his speculation when pressed by fans.
After the game, Bakhtiari shut down Demovsky's narrative.
"That’s me just sitting down making sure that I don’t overuse my knee," said Bakhtiari.
The three-time Pro-Bowler is fortunate to be able to suit for Green Bay after dealing with knee issues for the last two seasons. It's certainly understandable as he continues to work to get to full strength that he's taking it easy on his knee in the middle of a game when he's not playing.
And really, why would he be pouting? He knows he's still limited and he's doing all he can to be on the field as often as possible.
Demovsky's speculation was completely unfair to a player who has worked really hard to put himself in a position to play for Green Bay this season.
Perhaps that thought should've waited until after the game when Bakhtiari could defend himself.
