The Green Bay Packers have a problem, a big problem in fact.
It's a problem so large, that the solution is far from being easily attainable and isn't even close to being sought out by the Packers right now.
Yes, that problem is finding a way to maximize the potential of this offense, while also trying to work through youthful mistakes at receiver, and offensive struggles that aren't set to go away until changes are made.
The Packers dropped their third straight game today, courtesy of an embarrassing 23-21 loss to the Washington Commanders.
This game was seen as one the Packers could use to get back to their winnings ways. To potentially solve a few of the problems this offense has right now.
There was good reason to assume that as well, with the Commanders starting an uninspiring Taylor Heinicke, and Washington possessing a defense that isn't all that impressive aside from their stout defensive line.
But the Packers didn't get the memo, as their defense fell victim to some electric moments from Heinicke, and the offense failed to find consistent success all game long.
The offense though, is the big story to take away from today's game.
The passing attack is lethargic and lacks any sort of danger right now. That's mostly due to the personnel within the unit, as its youth and inexperience is making life very difficult for Matt LaFleur and Aaron Rodgers.
How so?
This offense hasn't scored 30 points once this season. The only time they've gotten close, was their Week Two meeting with the Chicago Bears, where they scored 27 points.
Other than that? They haven't gotten close.
This offensive struggle, this offensive snooze-fest, this problem has left this team in a dire position, one that relies on its defense to bail them out time and time again, so they can have a decent shot at simply winning a football game.
But as we've seen this year, that method can't be relied upon consistently, since defensive play can vary week to week if your unit isn't a consistently dominant one.
This Packers defense isn't a consistently dominant one, so problems are bound to follow.

Those problems have given the Packers fits and have been a big reason why they sit with a 3-4 record after today's game.
Unfortunately for the Packers, they won't have too much time to breathe, as they have a crucial matchup next week against the Buffalo Bills. Who are arguably the best team football has to offer right now.
That's a horrible team to struggle against, since the Bills are bound to make you pay for any mistakes you make.
No one is going to feel sorry for the Packers. It'll be up to them to reverse their trends and find positivity on their own.
The problem is, we don't know if they're able to do that right now. Not with how poor this offense is.
That spells doom for this Packers team and unfortunate continuation of a negative trend that shows no signs of changing course.
