For all the flack the Dallas Cowboys took in formulating their offensive line this past off-season, they are playing up to one of the best units in the league so far.

Not only do the Cowboys rank 8th in rushing, they're only allowing 12 sacks on the season. Third best in the league.

Which is huge considering all they have and continue to overcome. Losing OT Matt Waletzko for the year, Matt Farniok being sent to injured reserve, Connor McGovern and Jason Peters being in and out of the lineup due to injury.

However, the biggest obstacle was (once again) overcoming the loss of future Hall of Fame OT Tyron Smith.

While Smith is progressing in his rehab from his avulsion fracture he suffered before the start of the season, rookie Tyler Smith has taken the reigns at left tackle.

Hypothetically, if Tyron were to return, would he be a plug-and-play starter? Stephen Jones seems to hint at the possibility.

Speaking on 105.3 The Fan in Dallas TX, Jones implied that when Tyron returns, someone on the current starting lineup is getting relegated as a backup.

Can the Cowboys afford to shuffle their line? Again? The combination of Smith, McGovern(?)/Peters, Biadasz, Martin and Steele is working well. For all Tyron has done for the organization, it may hurt Tyler Smith's development to move him around.

But could it be for the better in regards to QB Dak Prescott's health?

In the meantime, the Dallas Cowboys will be in the middle of trade discussions until the final second of the deadline. All on focus for the here and now.

Unfortunately, the later will eventually come and the Cowboys will have a tough decision to make.
