Chiefs, 49ers

If you have been a Kansas City Chiefs fan for quite some time now, or at least since 2019, then this win must have felt good.

Yes, the Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers in the Super Bowl, so why would this feel good for fans if there is no ill will or revenge necessary? Well, for one, the media doubted the Chiefs that year. They thought they had the better team, with a better offense and defense. Obviously, that just wasn't the case.

This year, there were some people doubting the Chiefs as well. The 49ers were listed as the number one defense in a bunch of categories across the board. The narrative is that the Chiefs haven't played a defense quite like that yet, but they proved that wrong.

Another reason fans loved this game is because of how similar it was to the Super Bowl win. There were a ton of similarities between the two.

For starters, the Chiefs were down by 10 points in this one. Does that sound familiar? In the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl, the Chiefs trailed 20-10. They quickly went up by 11 after being down 10. Just like Sunday, the Chiefs were down and quickly got up, but by a lot.

That 49ers' defense was the best in the league in 2019, and the Chiefs dominated them in the fourth quarter. This one was ranked first in nearly every major category.

I mean, the Chiefs really put up 44 points, which should be 47, on the best defense in football, once again proving everyone wrong.

Another reason fans loved this game so much, is because the Chiefs were able to get it done on the road, against a team that had a ton of momentum after getting Christian McCaffrey in a trade.

Obviously, none of those things really went in favor of the San Francisco 49ers, kind of like the Super Bowl in 2019.
