Despite a strong start from the Miami Dolphins (8-7), they were unable to take down the Green Bay Packers (7-8) at home, on Christmas Day.

In the first half, the Dolphins offense was near unstoppable. QB Tua Tagovailoa throwing over 200 yards and touchdown. Including a game breaking 84-yard dash from WR Jaylen Waddle.

In the second half, however, it was all Packers. Being outscored 13-0 in the final 30 minutes with Tagovailoa throwing three interceptions, including what would be the final nail in the coffin.

The Dolphins defense played well enough to win. Holding the Packers to only 79 yards rushing and forcing a number of fumbles (none recovered).

Unfortunately, the offenses inability to replicate the same success in the second half, stonewalled Miami. Under 100 combined yards on offense and 0 points scored in the final two quarters.

With this latest loss, the Miami Dolphins have now lost four in a row, but still control their own destiny. If they win their final two games of the season, they will clinch a wildcard spot.

Fortunately, these opponents have issues of their own. The New England Patriots are 1-4 in their last five, moving further outside the playoff standings. As well as the New York Jets who are also on a 4-game losing streak.

The Dolphins can't afford another loss if they want to make a playoff push.
