It’s critical that the Buffalo Bills (8-3) focus on the task at hand with the team going on the road to face New England Patriots (6-5) on Thursday night. With that being said, the Bills might catch just the break they need in order to overtake the Miami Dolphins (8-3) for the lead in the AFC East.
If the Bills can take care of business in its next two games, it will set up a Week 15 clash with the Dolphins in which the winner takes control of the division.
According to Miami’s head coach Mike McDaniel, the Dolphins could be without its starting left tackle, and three-time Pro Bowler, Terron Armstead.
Per NFL Network, Armstead is dealing with a Grade 2 pectoral strain. The Dolphins will be without him Sunday as the team travels to face Nick Bosa and the dynamic San Francisco 49ers pass rush.
“I definitely wouldn’t put that past him [to return in 2-3 weeks],” McDaniel said on Monday. “But we are gathering information, seeking all specialists and kind of letting the injury settle a hair, so the information can be a little more concrete and a little clearer. We’re evaluating some options with him in terms of how to treat it and stuff.”
Armstead has played through injuries for much of his 10-year career, but his status for Week 15’s matchup with Buffalo seems to be questionable at best.
If Armstead’s condition doesn’t improve enough to play over the next couple of weeks, the Bills’ pass rush should have a field day on Tua Tagovailoa and the Dolphins’ makeshift offensive line.
