Eagles, offensive line

The Philadelphia Eagles have been known in 2022 for their offensive line play. By many, they have the best offensive line in all of football. It is widely thought that they are a huge reason the Eagles have one of the best offenses in football, too.

Another large group of people, they have one of the best offensive linemen in all of football in Jordan Mailata. There was one problem, though. Mailata ended up not playing on Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals because of an injury, meaning even more backups on the offensive line will have to play.

That also meant that Jack Driscoll, the backup to Mailata, would have to start. Going into this game, many people thought this would be a problem, and you wouldn't have been wrong to feel that way. Why wouldn't you think a backup would be a problem? I mean, he is a backup for a reason, right?

Not right, at all. Driscoll proved anyone who doubted him, wrong on Sunday with a great performance on the offensive line. Eagles' head coach Nick Sirianni thought so too.

"Jack Driscoll man, I can't say enough about him," Sirianni said. "He just keeps stepping into scenarios. There are naturally going to be bumps and bruises along the way on the offensive line, it's just so physical in there. And jack Driscoll just continues to come in and play big in big moments. I'm so happy Jack Driscoll is on this football team, man, and he played a heck of a game."

I am also glad Jack Driscoll is on his football team, man. No really though. Going into this game there was a chance the Cardinals could get to Hurts and put pressure on him.

Landon Dickerson was also out for part of the game and Sua Opeta stepped up as well. Cam Jurgens also replaced Jason Kelce for a little bit. There were issues coming into this game that involved the offensive line not being healthy.

Not only did they fill in for those guys for either the whole game or just for a portion, but they also played amazingly when they were in.

The Eagles' problem was no longer a problem when it came to game time. They balled out.
