As many expected, Dallas Cowboys starting quarterback Dak Prescott will have to wait another week. It's not a surprise considering last week's reports as well as the betting odds available for the game between the Cowboys and the Philadelphia Eagles.

On Wednesday, Mike McCarthy revealed the plans for Prescott this week.

"Dak Prescott will be in the rehab group to start off," said McCarthy. "But he will go through quarterback school and he'll do some light throwing at the end of practice."

In essence, that means the Cowboys will start Cooper Rush on Sunday, at least according to the team's previous comments. Last week, McCarthy indicated he wants Prescott to have a full week of practice before returning to action.

"We're preparing for Cooper to start against the Eagles," confirmed the Cowboys head coach.

The Cowboys have won four straight with Rush at the helm so this shouldn't come as end-of-the-world news for Cowboys Nation. Rush has been a solid game manager for an offense that has bet on a very conservative approach that complements one of the best defenses in football.

Heading into Sunday's NFC East primetime showdown, the Cowboys are 5.5-point underdogs. That shouldn't deter McCarthy's team.

"We're nobody's underdog," stated the head coach last week. Fans and media have taken that motto as America's Team war cry but the players are the ones who have breathed life into it.

Last weekend, they beat the L.A. Rams by 11 points despite having the same betting spread as this week.
