The Las Vegas Raiders have been in the media a lot lately, but not necessarily for the right things. Really they have been in the media since the offseason, and almost non-stop. From the Raiders getting Davante Adams, the best receiver in football, to them hiring Josh McDaniels as a head coach, to them signing Darren Waller to a big contract, to Josh Jacobs being in trade talks, and to them starting 0-3. They have been a popular topic this season and even off-season.
Then, you add in the fact it is rivalry week. That's right, the Las Vegas Raiders and the Kansas City Chiefs. One of the oldest and best rivalries in the history of this great league. Unfortunately, the Chiefs won by one point as some things just didn't fall the right way for the guys wearing silver and black.
Something else didn't go their way either, as now there is news that Davante Adams could be possibly facing a suspension, nothing final yet, but we know the situation at hand.
On Saturday, his number was retired at his alma mater at Fresno State University. Now, the number 15 will never be worn by another player there.
We know about him and Derek Carr playing together in college, but a lot of people don't know how good Adams was in college. Here are his numbers.
As a true freshman in 2012, Adams was already one of the best receivers in college. He finished with 102 catches and 1,312 with 14 touchdowns to go along with it.
Then as a sophomore, Adams finished with 131 catches, 1,719 receiving yards, and 24 touchdowns in 13 games.
Adams is definitely deserving of his jersey retirement.
