While the Dallas Cowboys are off to a disastrous start to the 2020 NFL season, there is good news for former Cowboys receiver Dez Bryant. Bryant, who starred for the Cowboys after his career at Oklahoma State, has found a new home.

It was reported last week that Bryant was going to sign to the Baltimore Ravens practice squad as long as he passed a physical and turned in a good workout. Both of those things must have happened, because Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday that the move is now official.

Bryant made three Pro Bowls during his time with the Cowboys and was considered to be one of the elite players at his position during his athletic prime. He formed an extremely fun connection with quarterback Tony Romo and was a big target for Dak Prescott during Prescott's rookie season.

Bryant was released by the Cowboys in 2018 and actually turned down a deal from the Baltimore Ravens in favor of inking with the New Orleans Saints after his career in Dallas came to a close. Unfortunately for Bryant, he tore his Achilles and has not found a home since — until now.

The Ravens feature one of the most exciting signal-callers in all of football in Lamar Jackson. The team has a speedy target in Marquise "Hollywood" Brown and a reliable tight end in Mark Andrews. It seems that John Harbaugh and company want to see if Bryant can add another dimension to the offense.

Andrews has developed into one of the better tight ends in football, and he appears to be excited about the possibility of teaming up with the former Dallas Cowboys pass catcher.

“That’s kind of like an O.G.-type [original gangster] guy,” tight end Mark Andrews said. “He’s been around the league for a long, long time. … I’m excited to meet him. I’m excited to obviously get around him, hopefully, and just learn. Obviously, [you want to] just learn everything you can from a guy like that just because they’ve done it and they’ve been there. So it’s super exciting for me.”

The Cowboys, meanwhile, have a pretty talented wide receiver corps in Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb. That trio was a big reason why the offense was among the best in the league with Prescott throwing the rock; unfortunately, the passing offense has been pedestrian in the last two weeks without number 4 behind center.

Baltimore is a legitimate Super Bowl contender with Jackson at quarterback and Harbaugh on the sidelines. Here is hoping that Dez Bryant gets the opportunity to be called up to the active roster and make some plays this season.
