The Dallas Cowboys are set to take on the Atlanta Falcons this week, featuring a quarterback matchup of Dak Prescott versus Matt Ryan in AT&T Stadium.

Both squads fell in week one: Dallas lost to the Rams, while Atlanta dropped their home-opener to Russell Wilson and the Seahawks. Needless to say, both the Cowboys and the Falcons will be looking to get into the win-column and get back on track in week two.

While the Cowboys offense struggled on the road versus the Rams, the Falcons put up some video game-like statistics: Matt Ryan threw for 450 yards and a pair of scores, while the trio of Julio Jones, Calvin Ridley, and Russell Gage caused headaches all afternoon for the Seahawks:

Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan had some positive things to say about the Dallas Cowboys earlier this week.

Matt Ryan has been a successful quarterback in the league for a while now. The 2016 NFL MVP is very experienced and has faced some pretty good defenses over the years. Ryan called the Cowboys defensive front "excellent".

The Falcons could be without offensive tackle Jake Matthews in Sunday's matchup, providing the likes of DeMarcus Lawrence, Aldon Smith, and company to create some havoc and make things difficult for Ryan and the Falcons offense.

In addition to Atlanta's passing attack, running back Todd Gurley found the end zone in week one. The Cowboys, meanwhile, struggled to stop the Rams' rushing attack, as Malcolm Brown totaled 79 yards on 18 carries and two scores. With Leighton Vander Esch on IR, the Cowboys' defensive front must be ready to not only get after Ryan, but be prepared to stop the run as well.

Ryan also praised Dak Prescott's game.

Not only has Ryan played against top defenders, he has competed with elite quarterbacks during his career. The Falcons quarterback talked highly of Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott's game.

Prescott has certainly proven to be very tough and extremely durable throughout his career in Dallas. Ryan said he has a ton of respect for the kind of competitor that Prescott is and that he has come away impressed with how Prescott plays the game.

Seahawks signal-caller Russell Wilson shredded the Falcons defense to the tune of 322 yards, four touchdowns, and no interceptions during the season opener. That should provide some optimism for the Cowboys offense that they can build some momentum and score some points after a rather disappointing performance against the Rams.

On the flip side, the Cowboys could very well likely be without left tackle Tyron Smith on Sunday due to a neck injury. That is obviously bad news for the Cowboys, and it is only worse when factoring in that the team is already without right tackle La'el Collins. It could potentially be a long day for the Cowboys offensive line if Smith cannot give it a go.

Sunday should be an electric battle between two highly talented offenses looking to get into the win column and avoid falling to 0-2.
