The Dallas Cowboys open the 2020 NFL season on the road against the Los Angeles Rams, setting the stage for the Cowboys to showcase its exciting offensive personnel on national television.

Mike McCarthy and Kellen Moore have to be salivating over the amount of talent at their disposal. The new head coach and the young offensive coordinator have a franchise quarterback, an elite running back, a trio of stud wide receivers, a rising tight end, and an offensive line that features Zack Martin and Tyron Smith (and La'el Collins when he returns from IR) to work with.

As a result, the Cowboys offense is expected to be even better than the unit was a year ago. Dallas averaged 27.1 points per game, 431.5 yards per game, had a quarterback throw for just under 5,000 yards, and saw two receivers catch for more than 1,000.

There is a ton of excitement for CeeDee Lamb's debut with the Dallas Cowboys.

The addition of former Oklahoma Sooners star CeeDee Lamb is a large source of the expectation of the offense improving to another level. Lamb was one of the elite playmakers in all of college football during his career in Norman, and he was largely considered the best wideout in the 2020 draft class.

What makes Lamb so special is his ability after the catch. The Foster High School (TX) product consistently hurt defenses with the ball in his hands and proved to be extremely difficult to bring down. Lamb almost turns into a running back when he gets the ball, able to see the field very well while following his blockers and getting up field in a hurry.

There is a natural fit for Lamb alongside the pair of Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup as well, due to the fact that Lamb has the versatility to line up inside in the slot or on the outside. That should allow Moore to be even more creative when identifying mismatches for Prescott to attack.

Blake Jarwin has a ton of optimism surrounding him because of the flashes that he has shown at different points in his young career with the Dallas Cowboys. The Oklahoma State product has yet to total 400 yards in a season to this point, but he will have the biggest role of his career in his third season with Jason Witten off to Las Vegas.

Jarwin has been a nightmare against the Giants especially, as he has tormented the team from New York on multiple occasions. The next step is for Jarwin to produce consistently produce against teams that aren't wearing red and blue.

Jarwin does not have to look over his shoulder and share snaps with a future Hall of Famer any longer, which should allow him to take that next step in his development as a pro. Prescott has already shown to be willing to hit his tight end down the field, and there should be many opportunities to do just that this season as defenses focus on the Big Three at receiver.

Week one is our first real opportunity to see this offense on the field. Without preseason games and very limited training camp coverage, the anticipation is higher than ever to see this offense get to work.

The Los Angeles Rams will attempt to make things difficult for the Cowboys offense to succeed on Sunday evening. Aaron Donald is a force to be reckoned with in the trenches, while Jalen Ramsey — who just secured a big pay day earlier this week — is among the league's best corners.

We could see a high-scoring affair in L.A. on Sunday Night Football. Here is hoping that the Cowboys offense is better than the Rams during the showdown.
