I think that by now Most New Orleans Saints fans are either ready to fire head coach Dennis Allen or are on the brink of feeling that way. His latest comments make me lean more and more toward wanting him out of town.

There is something controversial that the Saints' fans don't like that Allen does, or doesn't do, rather. On Monday, the day after their shutout loss to the San Francisco 49ers, he basically said he would change it.

By now, everyone, or mostly everyone, knows that Dennis Allen is not the most vocal or energetic guy. He's not even close to being that. In fact, he barely speaks, even at pressers, he usually says the same stuff or his answers are short.

As a head coach in the NFL, you can't be a guy that doesn't exude energy in the locker room. From everything we have seen and heard, he doesn't have energy.

"Yeah, look, my personality is the way that my personality is," Allen said when asked about having energy on the sideline.

First of all, no one asked you to change who you are or your personality. But keep going.

"I think our coaching staff's personality is the way it is. We have got to do a better job of demanding that things be done exactly right, and all of us have to take accountability for it. That's why this is a team game.

"I don't think yelling and screaming is the answer to everything. I mean, all of us have been parents, right? I haven't found that when I yell and scream at my kids that the product changes. Usually, when you teach, that's when those things change."

Asking you to bring some energy to your team and let them know that they can win these games and that they can be a good football team, is not asking you to change who you are, or your personality.

It's asking you to have just a little, a tiny bit at least, sense of urgency because frankly, you have none.

I think it's pretty crazy that we are talking about an NFL head coach not being able to lead a locker room. Because ultimately, that's what it comes down to.

If you can't show the guys you care just as much as they do when you aren't the guy putting the pads on and risking your body and life, why would they play for you?
