The Kansas City Chiefs have found themselves in a bit of a predicament, as one of their best players will have to miss two games.
Per Adam Schefter of ESPN, Chiefs' former Pro Bowler, Frank Clark, has been suspended for two games.
He's set to miss matchups against the Tennessee Titans and the Jacksonville Jaguars, as a result.
The NFL handed down the suspension after Clark faced two misdemeanor charges in 2021 for possession of a firearm during two separate traffic stops.
Clark then pleaded no contest a couple on September 8, which is essentially the equivalent of a guilty plea. Per Ohiobar.org, a no contest means defendants avoid trial, but it also prevents the plea from being used against them in any later civil or criminal proceeding. It also allows defendants the opportunity to appeal rulings by the court, such as rulings allowing certain evidence to be used by the government.
This shouldn't be a surprise. It is exactly what Clark should have known was going to happen. And the same goes for the Chiefs.
As a wise man once said, you play stupid games, you win stupid prizes.
