The New Orleans Saints have a ton of problems that need to be fixed to get their season back on track. They are injury-riddled and continue to lose games they shouldn't just by shooting themselves in the foot over and over again.

This team has the pieces to win, when healthy that is. However, it's the little things that keep derailing games for them. Now, there is a new problem the Saints have on their hands. The red zone defense.

"I feel like we have been a pretty good red zone defense this season," safety Tyrann Mathieu said after the game. "You know, obviously, you think that could possibly be the difference in the game, those guys going three for three down there. So when you look back at it, yeah, the red zone, we kind of struggled in that area today, and then obviously, the one big play at the end of the game, we have to make that tackle."

They allowed the Bengals to score whenever they wanted when they got there. If this is going to continue to be a problem, they may just need to game plan to stop teams from getting there.

However, if this team is healthy, and that includes safety Marcus Maye and cornerback Marshon Lattimore, then I think the red zone issues aren't as bad as they were in this game. But, yes, it is looking like this could be an issue

But, this loss overall hurts, and if the red zone issues are better, we are talking about a win instead. But, because of the way the team lost, it hurts even more.

"Yeah I mean, listen, I think it hurts," Mathieu said. "Anytime you lose in this league it hurts. You know, but the last couple of weeks we have had double-digit leads, and we just have to find a way to kind of put teams away. I think the most important thing is just for us to continue to stick together. I think we have a good group, so I think we will be alright in the end but just have to find a way to finish these games."

This team will have to bounce back, though, as they are on a short week. They will travel to Arizona to play the Cardinals on Thursday Night Football, a team who is also 2-4 and also looking for a win.
