Eagles have a shot at doing something that has never been done in franchise history
The Philadelphia Eagles have had a record start to their 2022 season after the Week 4 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars. They are now 4-0 and haven't started a season that well in 18 years. In the 2004 season, the Eagles started 7-0, which is the best start to a season they have ever had. […]
This year, we could see them surpass that. At least there is a possibility.
The Eagles offense has been amazing this year. Jalen Hurts has been an MVP candidate, and he has plenty of weapons to keep up his campaign. A.J. Brown, DeVonta Smith, and Miles Sanders have all been great to start the season, making the offense nearly explosive.
The defense has been great as well. They know how to get to the quarterback and actually lead the league in sacks with 16 after the nine they had against the Washington commanders. They also have been great at locking down opposing teams' best receivers, including Justin Jefferson.
I think it's safe to say they are doing everything right so far in this young season.
Looking at their schedule, I think there is a big chance this team could start 10-0, something that has never been done in the history of the franchise.
The way the schedule is set up, and with the way, teams are starting their season, it is not impossible for the Eagles to have the best start to a season they have ever had.
This week, the Eagles will play the Arizona Cardinals, who are coming off of a win over the Panthers but have not been good this year. It is a very winnable game for Philadelphia.
Five of the Eagles' next six games are against opponents that do not have a winning record. They will see the Cardinals (2-2), Pittsburgh Steelers (1-3), Houston Texans (0-3-1), Washington Commanders (1-3), and the Indianapolis Colts (1-2-1) before playing the Green Bay Packers for their 10th game.
The one team they play in that stretch that does have a winning record is the Dallas Cowboys, who are 3-1. However, they are without their starting quarterback and have struggled at times.
If the Eagles could manage to pull off this historic start to a season, the whole NFL will be in trouble. You give a team this talented that much momentum and confidence, and it won't be fun for the teams they play.
