The Philadelphia Eagles have a problem on their hands. They need a win this week to clinch the number-one seed in the NFC and it clinches the NFC East.
There is just one problem. There is a possibility some of the Eagles' best players won't play on Sunday due to injuries, as we all know now.
MVP candidate Jalen Hurts is dealing with a shoulder injury and could miss Sunday. Right tackle Lane Johnson has been dealing with a groin and is expected to miss Sunday's game.
But, head coach Nick Sirianni gave a message that will hopefully give a sliver of hope to fans about Johnson and his return.
"He's one of the toughest guys we've ever been around," Sirianni said. "Obviously, it says a lot about how he cares about his teammates, who he is as a teammate, and you know he's in pain, that he's just going to do whatever he needs to do to get himself ready to play."
Lane Johnson is by far the best right tackle in the league, on the best offensive line in the league. Not having him is going to be tough on the Eagles for the rest of the regular season.
However, I'd rather that than not have him for the playoffs, when the Eagles need him most as they push for a Super Bowl.
The Eagles will need all hands on deck, particularly Hurts and his offensive line. We saw what Mahomes had to go through in the Super Bowl without his offensive line, and, well, I'd rather that not happen.
Fans should have hope that Johnson will be back in time for the playoffs after the speech Sirianni gave.
