After a dramatic primetime win over the Indianapolis Colts, the Pittsburgh Steelers aren't looking at the NFL standings to seek motivation. For them, it's simpler than that.

"It's really hard to win in this league," quarterback Kenny Pickett told reporters postgame. "Right now we're a four-win team right now. We have to own that and chip away and get back to winning, and this definitely was a start."

That's all the Steelers are thinking about right now. Stacking wins and keep on keepin' on.

In order to do that, they need rookies Kenny Pickett and George Pickens to continue building on that chemistry. Pickens has averaged six targets and 55 receiving yards per game since Week 4 and the recent win marked his fifth game with at least 50 receiving yards since then.

On Monday, the wide receiver caught three passes for 57 yards. But perhaps his biggest moment isn't reflected there as it came on the Steelers' two-point conversion in the fourth quarter.

"The window (in that play), I mean, when the defenders' back is to you, you can kind of place the ball where you want," said Pittsburgh's first-round rookie. "It's George (Pickens) that has to make the play."

When asked about the chemistry between the two of them on that two-point conversion, Pickett went into detail:

"He kind of jabbed inside, and went out, so low and away is usually the safe bet to give him the best chance to make a play. He went down and made a hell of a play. I was talking to him all game just keeping his head in it. He's an unbelievable player. There will be ups and downs in this thing, but if we stick with it, I think we'll be all right at the end of the day.”

Pickens has proven he's worthy of the trust Pickett places on him time and time again going back to training camp. His series of otherworldly catches has more episodes than Grey's Anatomy.

The most recent of which was Pickens' impressive catch on an isolated vertical route in which he created just enough separation to win one-on-one on the outside while managing to keep his feet inbounds.

As the Steelers drove down the field to score on an 11-play game-winning drive, the team injected long-term optimism into a fanbase that needed it. Moving forward, it's all about Pickett and Pickens building that relationship as much as anything else.
