The Dallas Cowboys dropped a competitive game with the Seahawks on Sunday afternoon, but Cedrick Wilson shined during the contest.

Dallas now sits at 1-2 on the season. The Cowboys could very well be 0-3 if it was not for the Falcons forgetting how to field an onside kick. Needless to say, things have not started well for a squad with preseason Super Bowl aspirations.

Despite falling to the Seahawks on Sunday, there were some positives to take away for the Dallas Cowboys. The team battled back to have a chance to pull off another come-from-behind win, and the offense largely worked behind a makeshift offensive line. Another bright spot was at wide receiver.

Cedrick Wilson stepped up in a major way for Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys.

All of the talk during the offseason surrounded the Big Three at wide receiver for the Cowboys: Amari Cooper, Michael Gallup, and CeeDee Lamb. All three are big time talents and all three have flashed through three games for the Cowboys.

There were some worries regarding the depth behind those three at wide receiver. After all, we have seen both Cooper and Gallup miss time with injuries and Lamb is in his first professional season. What kind of drop off would there be if one has to miss a series or game?

Cedrick Wilson showed us that he is ready to step up to the challenge. The Cowboys' 2018 sixth-round draft pick has been sidelined with injuries during his young career, but he is finally healthy in 2020. The Seahawks witnessed what the Boise State product is capable of doing when he is targeted.

Wilson's first reception of the 2020 season was a 40-yard touchdown from Dak Prescott. Wilson did a great job of creating immediate separation from Seattle linebacker KJ Wright, and he turned on the jets en route to the end zone.

Prescott was not done looking Wilson's way. In the second half, Prescott targeted the Memphis native as he ran his route over the middle of the field. Wilson hauled in the pass and, again, raced to the end zone.

The third-year wideout finished with five catches on seven targets for 107 yards and two touchdowns versus the Seahawks. While that will not be the usual stat line for Wilson, it is big for the Cowboys to know that they have yet another weapon to go to and attack defenses with.

Sunday afternoon did not go the Cowboys' way, but Cedrick Wilson made the most of his opportunities and appears to be primed to step up in a big way for the Cowboys during the remaining of the season.
