Last year the Kansas City Chiefs had a pretty successful draft. When you look at the draft top to bottom, there were never really any holes. Of course, Nick Bolton, Creed Humphrey, and Trey Smith immediately come to mind when you think of the 2021 class.

Nick Bolton became an instant starter and was a guy that always seemed to be around the ball. Not only that, but Bolton got progressively better at coverage throughout the year.

Trey Smith and Creed Humphrey became two of the best offensive linemen in the AFC last year. Actually, Creed Humphrey was the best center in all of football last year, as a rookie.

With all this being said, there was one guy who was drafted last year that did not get a ton of play. Josh Kaindoh now has an opportunity to get more reps and make a name for himself.

Joshua Kaindoh can have a bigger role with the Chiefs

Josh Kaindoh is a name a lot of Chiefs fans may not have heard of, let alone know he was on their favorite team. The former Florida State defensive end was not a highly anticipated draft pick last year. In fact, he was projected to go later than the fourth round, where the Chiefs drafted him.

Kaindoh played a total of 43 snaps last year. If you know anything about football, then you probably know that is not that much.

At Florida State, Kaindoh graded out at 74 overall in his last year, according to Pro Football Focus. While he wasn't able to get a sack, Kaindoh did have two quarterback hits, and 18 quarterback hurries. His stats weren't great, but his measurables are.

With the Chiefs looking to find more pass rushers in this upcoming draft, they could have one that is very cheap, and already on their roster. Of course, one of the tackle positions is already filled by Chris Jones, but there could potentially be other spots across the defensive line open.

With Frank Clark not living up to his contract over the last few years, it will be interesting to see if someone behind him on the depth chart and climb up the ladder, and potentially take away some of Clark's snaps.

At 6'7", Kaindoh has an opportunity to make the Chiefs defensive rotation. He has all the physical tools but may need reps to put it together. With the current situation going on on the Chiefs defensive line, Josh Kaindoh has some real opportunities, that he should definitely make the best of.
