The Dallas Cowboys struck gold with wide receiver CeeDee Lamb. Lamb showcased his sky-high potential over the course of his rookie season in the NFL.

Lamb developed into one of the elite slot receivers in the National Football League while playing alongside Amari Cooper and Michael Gallup. The 17th overall pick of the 2020 draft quickly became a favorite target of quarterback Dak Prescott.

Even after Prescott went down with injury, Lamb was productive. He finished his first year as a professional with 74 catches for 935 yards and five touchdowns. That is even more impressive considering he was sharing targets and there was no preseason.

Lamb talked about his experiences during his first season in the NFL with Good Morning Football.

The Cowboys star receiver joined the Good Morning Football crew on Wednesday, where he discussed a wide range of topics. Lamb spoke about his rookie season, the importance of sleep, and which wide receiver unit in the Super Bowl is better.

He also touched on his relationship with Prescott, and how the quarterback is recovering and preparing for the 2021 season.

"He's definitely doing great," Lamb said of Prescott's recovery when asked by former Detroit Lions wide receiver Nate Burelson. "You hate to see him go down in week five, but I keep in touch with him and pull up to his house every now and then.

"It's good to see him walking again. Obviously, to see him go down, it was tough for us. But, you know, God gives his toughest challenges to his strongest soldiers, and we trust that Dak is going to take it into consideration and use it as fuel for next year.

"As far as for the future, I do plan on seeing him with us next year and for the long haul."

Lamb expects Cowboys to be better in 2021.

The wide receiver expects the Dallas Cowboys to bounce back next season, especially with Prescott behind center.

"For us, as a team, we kind of took a blow on the injury bug. But, going into next season, we look forward to better preparation and staying healthy."

In addition to Prescott, the Cowboys were without a number of key contributors in 2020. Tyron Smith, La'el Collins, Blake Jarwin, Trysten Hill, and Leighton Vander Esch all missed extended time. Zack Martin was banged up towards the end of the year and missed a few games, too.

The hope is that the Cowboys are much healthier for next season's run.

He has a chip on his shoulder.

CeeDee Lamb was thought by many to be the best wide receiver in the 2020 NFL Draft class. Though, Henry Ruggs III and Jerry Jeudy both heard their names come off the board before Lamb.

Lamb has some extra motivation for that.

"It still — I wouldn't say burn me — but I still feel it," Lamb said on NFL Network. "I felt like I was going to be wide receiver one, but that's part of it. Like I said, it's the NFL: it's full of surprises.

"I am grateful for this opportunity and the Cowboys believing in me. I'm going to give them my best foot forward. Every Sunday, I'm going to perform at my absolute highest and the best of my ability."

That's music to the Cowboys' ears. Lamb displayed superstar potential over the course of his rookie season, despite playing with four different quarterbacks. Dak Prescott returning should only help Lamb's development.

CeeDee Lamb catching passes from Dak Prescott for a full season will be fun to see.
